Dan and Charles, The Impliers, began making music together at age fifteen and had an immediate impact on the underground indie scene that also produced Future Islands, Valiant Thorr, and Municipal Waste. Eventually, the duo embarked on their own creative paths into mastering self-production but remained connected through shared interests in art, mental health, and the unknown. The duo now write, produce, play all the instruments, self-fund, manage, publish and release their musical product. They recently released their latest single, ‘Stigma‘.
The Impliers bring an art/pop/noir surrealism to contemporary music. Stigma is thoughtfully layered, demanding multiple listens to take in the carefully composed soundscapes. Textured synths, electronic beats, rubbery bass, complex harmonies and sublime melodicism combine to produce a lush sound.
